ST. HELENA SCHOOL

(Picture unavailable. Unless someone out there has one ???)

Saint Helena School started about 1888. It was east of Middletown, near the Mirabel mine. The first classes were held in an old bunk house at the mine and then a schoolhouse was built closer to Middletown where the first house south of Shady Grove is located, but on the west side of the road.
